More than 100 new Irish companies began trading each day in September, new figures from business and credit-risk analyst firm Vision-net reveals.
Research conducted between 1-26 September found 2,745 company and business start-ups which amounted to 105 each day, The Irish Examiner reported.
These research results follow the recent findings of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) 2011 report for Ireland, which indicate that around 2,200 people set up a new venture in Ireland each month during 2011.
The Vision-net research also discovered that mostly men (60pc) are directors of new companies, with an average age of 40.
