The Advertising Product Manager is responsible for delivering market facing solutions in Australia/ Asia. We are looking for an individual who will be focused on conceptualizing new product methods to launch, sell and service our dynamic ads product. This individual should have a passion for shipping elegant, interactive Flash applications and web interfaces that will be viewed by millions across the web.

The dynamic ad is a graphical online ad, whose creative content (color, layout, product or service, etc) is dynamically generated by computer software programs in order to make sure that the best ads are being shown to the right people, at the right time, in the right place. Yahoo! advertisers benefit because their online ad campaigns receive better click-through rates or make more sales conversions after the click happens. Yahoo users benefit by seeing much more relevant ads!?

What you will be doing...

  • Assisting the local? in market teams and user segmentation, business case development for new product and market opportunities, appropriate levels of competitive intelligence and defining and tracking product and business success metrics.
  • Collaborate with sales and Yahoo!7 planning teams to execute solutions for client programs. This is a primary and critical driver to grow revenue for the dynamic ads product.
  • Work closely with and incorporate feedback from product management, interaction designers, and back? end engineers to build ads and applications in Flash as well as Javascript?.
  • Rapidly identify and work with global teams to solve bugs and problems.
  • Mentor and educate clients on product integrations and capabilities.
  • Track consumer feedback/satisfaction, dashboards and metrics to measure success and engagement of new and existing features and functionalities.
  • Work with engineering team to ensure client requirements are met: Although you will not be expected to write code, you will be expected to be fluent to speak with engineers in a manner which helps articulate requirements clearly and with technical resonance.
This individual must possess a strong product sensibility, a mastery of marketing fundamentals as well as an innate sense of the local marketer/consumer and competition, in order to successfully champion the cause of the consumer and?

What you'll need...

  • ?Typically 3?-5 years of business experience; with experience in technical product marketing.
  • Prior?experience in online advertising role.?
  • Strong analytical skills and passion for interpreting and translating quantitative?data into consumer insights.
  • Understand Actionscript is a plus.
  • Knowledgeable foundation in interaction design principles.
  • Great written communication and documentation abilities.
  • Passionate about working in an extremely fast? paced, creative and demanding environment.
  • Strong command of web standards, CSS? based design, and web services.
  • Good understanding of web technologies (HTTP, Apache) and familiarity with Unix/Linux.
  • B.S. or higher in Computer science / technical degree.
